Crystal Rosario
PRESIDENT
Parent to a graduated Hyde alum, third- and first-grader, Crystal is in her third term as PTA President and has served as VP for Events and VP of Room Parent Engagement in the past. She has extensive experience in many volunteer roles within the school and looks forward to continuing the Board’s efforts to foster a sense of community and inclusivity at Hyde-Addison.

CO-VICE PRESIDENT
Parent to a Hyde alum and a fourth grader, she has been a proud member of the Hyde community since 2017! During that time, she has been PTA Co-VP and played an active role on several PTA committees. She is looking forward to serving and engaging with Hyde’s community of neighbors, staff, parents, and children for another year!

Emerald Christopher
CO-VICE PRESIDENT
As the parent of a rising third-grader, Emerald continues to be grateful for the welcoming and connected community that makes Hyde-Addison so special. Having served as Co-Vice President during the 2025–2026 school year, she is excited to continue in the role for 2026–2027 and work alongside families, educators, staff, and community partners to support students and strengthen the school community. Emerald looks forward to building meaningful connections, supporting family engagement, and helping ensure that every family feels informed, included, and valued.

Alexis George
TREASURER
Alexis has been a proud Hyde-Addison parent since 2022. Given her background in wealth management, she is prepared to take on the role of PTA Treasurer. Her experience with cash management, reporting, and risk mitigation brings valuable skills to this role. She is excited to support the PTA’s goals and initiatives and looks forward to collaborating with her fellow Hyde parents.

Zeina Kiblawi
SECRETARY
Parent to a Pre-K3er, Kindergartner, 2nd grader, and 4th grader, Zeina has been a member of the Hyde community since 2022. She has served our school in many ways and is committed to ensuring our community stays informed and engaged. She looks forward to maintaining clear records of the Board's actions and is committed to ensuring transparency and equity.

Motrya Hanas Calafiura
CO-VP FOR EXTENDED CARE PROGRAMS
The parent of a fourth grader, Motrya has proudly served on the PTA as Co-VP for Communications and Marketing for three years prior to her current Co-VP role, serving her second year. She is excited to continue to help coordinate and oversee high-quality after-school programs, connect families with enrichment opportunities, and ensure a welcoming, engaging environment for all Hyde-Addison students and parents. She is deeply committed to serving as a reliable resource for both new and returning parents, fostering a sense of inclusion, support, and collaboration within the school community.

Selam "Nina" Geremew Debele
CO-VP FOR EXTENDED CARE PROGRAMS
Parent of a third grader, Selam is beginning her first year on the PTA as Co-VP for Extended Care Programs. She is committed to supporting enrichment opportunities that help students learn, grow, and connect beyond the classroom. She looks forward to working with teachers, staff, and fellow PTA volunteers to support students, families, and the school community.

The parent of pre-k 3, first and second grade students, Chelsea is an active member of the Hyde-Addison community. She is deeply committed to our school’s mission and core values. She is passionate about strengthening communication not only with current families, but also with prospective families, incoming students and the broader community.

Chris Borales
CO-VP FOR FUNDRAISING
Parent to a fifth grader, and a Hardy middle schooler, he is in his third year as VP for Fundraising. He is looking forward to working with parents, teachers and the community to raise funds for the school to make a lasting impact in the lives of our children. He believes that these efforts not only strengthen our school, but also fosters a sense of belonging and unity within our community.

Phil Mone
CO-VP FOR FUNDRAISING
Parent of four students at Hyde (PK3, Kindergarten, second-grade, and fourth grade), Phil is committed to ensuring that the PTA is accessible to and transparent with all Hyde parents Phil seeks to work with school leadership to help advance priority needs identified by the community, including transformation of Hyde’s outdoor spaces.

Gelila Getaneh
CO-VP FOR ROOM PARENT ENGAGEMENT
Parent to a second-grader, Gelila is excited to build on her current role as PTA Co-VP of Room Parent Engagement. Having been PTA Secretary and actively involved in various school activities and events, she is passionate about contributing further to the school community. She looks forward to the opportunity to serve the Hyde community in this capacity and to work collaboratively with fellow Board members to support our students and families.

Maaden Eshete Jones
CO-VP FOR ROOM PARENT ENGAGEMENT
Madi is the parent of a second grader and is in her family's fourth year at Hyde-Addison. She has served as a Room Parent, volunteered on the SummerFest committee, and represented Hyde families as a member of the DCPS Chancellor's Parent Advisory Board. As a Room Parent, she enjoyed planning class celebrations, coordinating with families, and partnering with teachers to create a memorable school year. She is excited to serve as Co-VP for Room Parent Engagement and looks forward to supporting Room Parents and strengthening family engagement.

Farrell Barnes Quigley
PAST PRESIDENT
The parent of a sixth-grader and third-grader Farrell’s family has been at Hyde for six years. She has served as Co-President, Co-VP for Communications and Marketing, Secretary, and as a Room Parent for both Thomas’ and James’ classes. As such, she has a deep understanding of PTA processes and systems, and she is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. She looks forward to supporting continuity and the sharing of institutional knowledge within the board and helping the board and the school as a whole as they take on new initiatives and continue to expand the PTA’s work within the community.
