Looking for childcare for DCPS no-school days? Below are a few local one-day camp options shared by Hyde-Addison families. These programs are not endorsed or sponsored. by the Hyde-Addison PTA or DCPS—they’re simply resources recommended by our community to help families plan ahead. This list isn’t exhaustive, and offerings may change. If you know of a great option to add, please contact us!
Boys & Girls Club:
Jelleff Branch*
Offers full day camps on all DCPS professional development days. Sign up on their website (link below). You can email Shawn Osborne to be added to the email list for their camps this year and to receive sign-up links: sosborn@bgcgw.org
*While renovations are taking place on Jelleff Rec Center, BGC has temporarily relocated to Fillmore.
Hoop Ed
Offers “all sports” and basketball camps at several DCPS locations.
Active Play
Offers day camps at Westmoreland Hills Park or Key Elementary on DCPS professional development days. They have a lunch and extended care options available as well. Camps are primarily sports-based.
Aristocrafts
Located in Spring Valley, Aristocrafts has half, full, and extended care options. They have a fenced in private playground and usually do food art in the afternoons! They take 3 years and older and children must be potty trained!
Anna Banana Art Camps
Located on Wisconsin by Safeway, Anna Banana offers art 1-day camps for children 4 and older and her camps offer a pizza lunch.
