SummerFest is our big “end of school year / start of summer” celebration and a favorite event for students, families, and staff alike.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• All children MUST have a parent or caregiver present in order to participate.
• Students in Champions aftercare will not be able to participate unless they are picked up by an adult.
• If your child plans to fully enjoy the foam & water areas (and we know many will), please remember to bring a towel and a change of clothes!
• While SummerFest takes place on June 12, the last day of school is the following Thursday, June 18 — so don’t check out for summer just yet!
• There will be no rain date so let's all hope for beautiful weather!

Passport to Hyde Pride: Southeast DC Playdate!
Join us as we wrap up our “Passport to Hyde Pride” playdate series with a fun afternoon of roller skating at Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion! 🛼

Final PTA General Body Meeting of SY 25-26
Join us for our final General Body Meeting of the school year on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held virtually.
In addition to PTA updates and announcements, we will be joined by special guests from the Office of the Ombudsman for Public Education. They will lead a community discussion focused on navigating conflict, strengthening communication, and moving toward collaboration. The session will also provide practical conflict resolution tools to help support our school community.
All families, teachers, and staff are invited and encouraged to attend. Additional meeting details and the virtual link will be shared soon via Konstella. If you’re a prospective family would would like to join, please email us.

Hyde Families Take Over Audi Field!
Join the Hyde-Addison PTA and fellow Hyde families for youth night at Audi Field--a fun evening at a Washington Spirit soccer game — our Southwest Playdate of the season!

Watch the Washington Spirit take on Seattle Reign while connecting with other Hyde families for a great night of professional soccer in DC.
Early Bird Tickets: $25 per person

Service Learning Drive
As part of our “More Good Days Together” focus, Hyde-Addison is hosting a hygiene product drive to support our broader DC community.

Donations can be sent in with your student (details on drop-off locations to come).

DIG Fundraiser
Take the night off from cooking or get your teacher lunch for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week!
Join us for a DIG fundraiser on Friday, May 8, 2026—just one block from school, making it the perfect spot for a quick, healthy family meal on a budget.

Walk & Roll to School Day
Join us for Walk & Roll to School Day—a fun, active, and community-building way to start the day together!
✨ Event Highlight:
We’ll have a Metropolitan Police escort leading the group down 35th Street (from Hardy → O Street → front entrance), plus a special visit from their canine mascot to greet students at arrival!
