About Us

The Hyde-Addison Parent Teacher Association (PTA)works year-round to build a vibrant, inclusive school community at Hyde-Addison Elementary School through engaging events, meaningful teacher support, and purposeful fundraising. 

Hyde-Addison Elementary School, located in the heart of Georgetown since 1907, serves over 415 students from all eight wards of Washington, DC. In-boundary families reside in Georgetown, Burleith and Hillandale, but over 60% of our student body lives outside of the school’s boundary, making our community both deeply rooted and citywide in reach. Ranked #1 among all DCPS and Public Charter Schools in the 2024 DC School Report Card, Hyde-Addison is a top-performing school with a diverse and dedicated student body.

With your support, we can bridge the school’s funding gap to help every child at Hyde-Addison thrive.   • Reach our community of over 415 engaged families, dozens of educators, and countless neighbors that spans the entire city, across all eight wards.

  • Gain visibility year-round through school-wide events, newsletters, social media and official communications.  Sponsors are featured on our website and receive high-visibility street exposure with the PTA’s branded banners along O St NW.

  • Create a more enriching experience for every studentwhile demonstrating your commitment to equity in education and to the future of Washington, DC.

  • Give tax-deductible charitable contributions to the Hyde-Addison PTA, a nonprofit organization.

Sponsorship Tiers are outlined below. We want to recognize your contribution in ways that matter to you and your business. If there are specific benefits you’d like to see that are not mentioned, let’s work together to craft a package that reflects your values and maximizes community connection. Sponsorship payments are due in full prior to benefit fulfillment and can be made via check, credit/debit card, or electronic bank transfer.

Recognition Details & Descriptions

    • Logo (option to link your website) on our dedicated sponsor page on the PTA website.

    • Champion and Advocate sponsors have the added benefit of having their logo added to the footer of the website, as well as a business feature on the sponsor page which can include a brief description of your business, offerings or motto, and/or a brief statement describing your commitment to our school, the larger DC community or education.

  • Our annual Preferred Vendors Handbook is distributed to every family in the community via email, the PTA website and as printed copies available at the Hyde main entrance.

    • Spotlight features on Instagram will showcase only your business. We will tag your IG handle (if provided) from @hydeaddisionpta and/or invite you to collaborate on the posting.  

    • Group mentions include multiple sponsors per post on PTA scheduled postings.

    • Konstella is the PTA’s main communication platform with the Hyde-Addison community, including over 350 parents and caregivers.  

    • The Weekly Family Newsletter is sent out by school administration to all of the current student body families each week, which includes weekly updates from the PTA and potential community partners.

  • Available in order of sponsorship securement.

    • Options include: Family Movie Night (Oct), Family Bingo (Feb), Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week (May) or Summerfest (June)

    • Advocate sponsors have the option to sponsor a table at one event of your choosing, such as the pizza table at Movie Night or a craft table at Summerfest, etc. 

    • *Any annual sponsor can add-on table sponsorship at a non-exclusive event for an additional $500. 

    • On-site signage, verbal acknowledgement at the event and logo placement on event-specific marketing materials (including website and social media mention).

    • Additional sponsorship opportunities are available for our Annual Gala (May) such as sponsoring the bar, the buffet, the dessert table, the dance floor, etc.

    • **Champion Sponsors get exclusive sponsorship of an event of their choosing (in order of sponsorship securement). If a Champion Sponsor chooses Summerfest as their exclusive event- the only exception will be the Summerfest 2026 swag t-shirt, which will have recognition of Champion, Advocate and Partner sponsors.

    • ***Summerfest is our students’ (and their families’) most popular and well-attended event of the school year.

    • All tiers receive a tax-deductible receipt and thank-you letter from the Hyde-Addison PTA.

    • Sponsorships can be activated at any point during the school year and are valid for the current academic calendar and following summer (September through August of the following year).  Visibility opportunities begin shortly after your donation is received.

    • Custom packages and in-kind donations are also welcome and can be matched to the closest tier.

    • Custom Option Examples:  Co-branded materials or sponsored giveaways; Student or parent created custom art featuring your business; Table space to distribute business swag or promotional materials;  Add on a donation to the Gala Auction to increase your impact and reach the next sponsorship tier.

    • All sponsors will receive an End-of-Year Impact Summary, which will include the number of students supported, total raised from business sponsorships, monetary allocation breakdown for school funding, photos of sponsor-funded events, a thank you to our annual sponsors, and a brief note about the subsequent year’s goals and how sponsors can continue or increase their involvement.
