Volunteer Needs
While Konstella is the most accurate and timely source of volunteer needs, we’ve listed a few priority opportunities below.
-

Watering Our Outdoor Gardens
Consistent watering is essential to help keep our garden thriving during D.C.’s warmer months (May through Sept.). To assist with this the school administration has given us a spare key to turn on the water spigot by the P St. gate of the school yard. The PTA is able to water the landscaping between 6-7 AM and 6-7 PM with prior notice.
If you’re available to help with watering please message the Gardening Committee on Konstella.
✅ Overwatering isn’t a concern—so feel free to give plants a little extra if you’re unsure.
🌸 In addition to the raised flowerbeds near the school entrance, don’t forget about the hydrangeas by the retaining wall near the large tree and climbing structure and our little O St. full-sun garden in the corner. They need love too!
Thank you for being part of this community effort to keep our garden happy and healthy over the warmer months!

-Assist with Lost & Found organizationRequirements:
-Current DCPS Volunteer Clearance
-Ability to commit to a consistent schedule
-Attendance at a short virtual training session with school administration on Friday, Feb. 20 at 12 PMMost opportunities take 30–60 minutes and you can volunteer as your schedule allows.
