Volunteer Needs

While Konstella is the most accurate and timely source of volunteer needs, we’ve listed a few priority opportunities below.

  • Colorful poster promoting ISO PTA Swag Manager with pictures of two smiling children, a blue t-shirt with school logo, and illustrations of a t-shirt and cap.

    PTA Swag Manager

Do you like apparel and have an eye for graphic design? The PTA is looking for a Swag Manager (or Managers!) to help fulfill online orders, manage inventory, design new swag, and build school spirit/culture! This is a great volunteer role to do on your own or share with a friend. Email pta.hydeaddison@gmail.com for more info.

  • A garden scene with a small bush of red roses next to a clear glass bottle upside-down on a small terracotta stake. The background shows a black wire fence, brick building, and other greenery.

    Watering Our New Gardens

Consistent watering is essential to help keep our garden thriving during D.C.’s warmer months. To assist with this we’ve set up a simple watering system—and we could use your help!

💧 You’ll see upside-down glass bottles in terracotta stakes near the base of larger plants. These slowly release water near the roots when the soil is dry.

🌞If you’re on the playground or nearby, please help by refilling any bottles that look low or are empty. You can use the playground water fountain.

⚠️ Please do not move or push on the stakes with bottles in place. Both the glass and terracotta are fragile and can break easily.

✅ Overwatering isn’t a concern—so feel free to give plants a little extra if you’re unsure.

🌸 In addition to the raised flowerbeds near the school entrance, don’t forget about the hydrangeas by the retaining wall near the large tree and climbing structure and our little O St. full-sun garden in the corner. They need love too!

Thank you for being part of this community effort to keep our garden happy and healthy over the summer and warmer months!

  • A young boy peeking over several paper towel rolls he's carrying, smiling, in a room with cardboard boxes and wooden flooring.

    BTS Supply Sale Classroom Distribution

As you’ve likely heard, for the past 4 years we’ve hosted a Supply Sale fundraiser where the PTA does all of your classroom back-to-school shopping and delivers the items to your child’s classroom before the first day of school.

Now it’s time to get those supplies into the classrooms and we need your help! On Wednesday, August 20th the PTA will be hosting a supply sale classroom distribution event and we need as many willing volunteers (including students!) as possible to help this run smoothly.

To sign up as a volunteer, please register on Konstella!
