Hyde-Addison PTA’s largest annual fundraising initiative, the Great Donation Race runs now through October 31st. Our goal is to raise $60,000 and achieve 100% family participation. Every class that achieves 100% participation will get an ice cream party! Let’s reach the finish line together—thank you for fueling the heart of Hyde-Addison!
Why We Do It:
This is the big one: our largest fundraiser and primary annual direct appeal to Hyde-Addison families. DCPS funds only cover part of the school’s operating budget. Each year, the Hyde-Addison PTA raises money to help close this gap. Donations collected through the GDR fund field trips, classroom enrichment, teacher appreciation, and community events—resources and experiences that help every student thrive. The suggested contribution is $500 per student—but this is not required. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. What matters most is participation, and we invite each family to give in a way that feels meaningful and manageable for them.

One annual payment OR 10 monthly payments (Sept–June)

Pick up a blue envelope from the main office (cash or check) and return it there too.
Ask family and friends to participate too! Print out a printer-friendly flyer to hand to them. Every donation, of any size, is appreciated.
