Walk & Roll to School Day

  • Hyde-Addison Elementary School (map)

Join us for Walk & Roll to School Day—a fun, active, and community-building way to start the day together!

Event Highlight:
We’ll have a Metropolitan Police escort leading the group down 35th Street (from Hardy → O Street → front entrance), plus a special visit from their canine mascot to greet students at arrival!

Why Walk, Bike, or Roll?
Participating isn’t just fun—it’s impactful:

  • Builds healthy habits: Helps kids get daily physical activity that supports strong bodies and minds

  • Boosts focus & learning: Active mornings can improve attention, memory, and readiness to learn

  • Supports mental well-being: Movement can reduce stress and improve mood

  • Helps the environment: Fewer cars = less traffic and cleaner air around school

  • Builds community: A great way to connect with neighbors and classmates along the way

Whether you walk, bike, scooter, take public transit or park a few blocks away and join in—everyone can participate!

Let’s come together for a safer, healthier, and more connected school community. We hope to see you there! 💚
